France 11 - Versailles

No, it's not pronounced as "ver-sails". It's "viak-sai" - the grandest and most famous chateu in France constructed by Louis XIV in the 17th century. It served as the palace for 3 kings until 1789 when the revolutionary mobs massacred the palace guard and dragged Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette back to Paris where they were publicly guillotined.
